1) Should I use only purified or bottled water?
No. You can use any type of water as long as it complies with government drinking water quality standards.
2) Can I use hot water in the bottle?
The bottle is made of PCT-Tritan eco-material, which is safe for water temperatures up to 40°C.
⚠️ Do not use boiling water or place the bottle in hot water during cleaning, as this may damage the material.
3) What kind of vinegar can I use for cleaning?
Any type of kitchen vinegar works. Add about 20 ml (4 tablespoons) to water, shake, and leave the lid open during cleaning.
4) What is the empty section at the bottom of the filter for?
The bottom compartment can be used to place tea leaves if you want to create a natural infusion while alkalizing your water.
5) After alkalization, can I pour the water into another container?
Yes ✅. You can pour the water into another bottle or glass. The pH remains stable, but the hydrogen and ORP values may decrease over time.
6) Can I put the bottle in the microwave?
No ❌. The i-Water Classic Portable 600 should not be used in a microwave.
7) How long does the alkaline water keep its properties?
Alkalized water maintains its beneficial properties for about 10 hours. After that, we recommend refreshing the water.
8) Can I keep water in the bottle for a full day?
Yes. Keeping water in the i-Water Classic Portable 600 for up to 24 hours does not affect your health, though we recommend refilling daily for best results.
9) How long does it take to alkalize the water?

Within 1 minute: pH rises from ~7.0–7.2 to around 8.5.

After 10 minutes: ORP decreases from +300 - 500 mV to about -100 to -200 mV.

After 5 minutes: Hydrogen concentration reaches 100 - 500 ppb.
10) What is ORP?
ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) measures a liquid’s ability to act as an antioxidant (negative value) or oxidant (positive value). Alkalized water from i-Water has a negative ORP, meaning it provides antioxidant benefits.
11) Does the bottle need to be cleaned after every use?
Not necessarily. Daily rinsing is fine, but a deep cleaning once a week (with vinegar as instructed) is recommended for best hygiene and performance.
