Alkaline Diet Recipes: Delicious Summer Squash Soup

Living a good life is all about balance – exactly what alkaline diet recipes can bring to the table. There is a common misconception that when you want to lose weight, be healthier, or simply reduce the symptoms of an illness, you have to make a temporary, yet drastic change.  Truth be told, your body does not like anything that takes it out of the comfort zone, not to mention something that involves starving yourself, surviving only on water, or some sort of liquid diet fad – for a week or two. What will happen after a few days? You’ll experience some terrible side-effects that will make you panic. The result? You’ll give up the diet and go back to where you were before or worse. What most individuals don’t seem to comprehend is that they need to make a lifestyle change. Even more importantly – this life change needs to be permanent.

Alkaline diet recipes are an amazing way of making your body more alkaline, thus experiencing some fantastic advantages such as weight loss, more energy, mental clarity and much more.
What you should do is what WORKS FOR YOU!

Nevertheless, if you would like to try it or just incorporate it into your current meal plan so that you can be healthier, that is great too. Pair alkaline diet recipes with ionized alkaline water and the results will certainly sweep you off your feet! Now, for the recipe, we enjoy trying simple, yet mouthwatering combinations that are not only easy to make but are also ready in about 20-30 minutes. The summer squash soup is our go-to after an intense workout and a refreshing shower. It can be enjoyed both cold and warm. It has a scrumptious taste, regardless of its temperature.

Ingredients (4 servings)

4 medium-sized summer squash (~900 grams)

2 spring onions or a regular onion

4 medium-sized carrots (~300 grams)

2 tsp of garlic powder

½ tsp of paprika

½ tsp of basil

1 tsp of pink Himalayan salt

juice from ½ lemon

Fresh parsley leaves

Sesame seeds (optional)

Inactive yeast flakes (for that amazing parmesan flavour!)

Finely chopped almonds or almond flour (optional)

Wash and peel the vegetables, chop them up and place them in a pot. Add the garlic, paprika, basil, and salt. Fill the pot with just enough water to pass over the vegetables. Bring it to a boil, cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes. Add the lemon juice and mash them up. Before serving the soup, add sesame seeds, a tsp of finely chopped almonds, half a teaspoon of inactive yeast flakes, and a few parsley leaves.

We must warn you – this soup is easy to make, but there’s a catch: it disappears in seconds!

We blame its deliciousness.
