The best part about it? You only need 5 ingredients, one of which is WATER! It’s ready in a few minutes, which means that you can enjoy it right away. We’re always looking for smart solutions to any daily issues, such as cooking. To ensure we don’t go out of our way to eat something healthy, sweet and that does not affect our digestive system, we usually prefer creating amazing alkaline recipes with what we have in our pantry.

Ingredients (1 serving)
  • Pancakes

1 banana 1 hydrated date 2-3 tablespoons oat bran

  • Chocolate sauce

1 hydrated date 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder a splash of baking soda (optional) Water

Recipe

For the pancake batter, simply mix all the ingredients in your blender and add less or more oats bran, to ensure you end up with a thick paste. Heat up a pan that does not make the batter stick (so you can use it without any oil) and with the help of a spoon, take the batter and place it in the pan. Leave for 30 seconds, then flip them on the other side. Depending on how small you make the pancakes, most probably, all of them will be ready in one go. For the sauce, you just mix the cocoa powder with a bit of baking soda (the baking soda is meant to reduce the acidity of the cocoa powder), the hydrated date, and a bit of water in your blender. Depending on how thick you prefer the sauce, you can add more or less water. It’s all up to your preferences.

Fair warning: once you’ll taste the combination, you’ll get addicted!

There’s no problem if you make it every single day. After all, it’s the kind of dessert that can also dub as a quick breakfast or an early dinner. Your choice!
